Check the courses listed below and make sure that you have completed both the reading and the writing assignment by the beginning of school in August.
Literature & Composition I- No assignment

American Literature- To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Honors American Literature- The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (vocabulary and analysis question packet needed)

School Office Summer Hours - 6/16/2008 The School Office will be open Monday - Thursday from 8:00 - 3:00. Closed for lunch from 11:30 - 12:00.

End of Year Updates - 6/5/2008
Yearbooks and supplements are available in the main office.
Students with elevator keys - keys need to be returned when you are finished with exams. Report cards may be held and fee will be charged.
All debts and obligations must be met before receiving Report Cards, fall schedules and athletic uniforms for next year.

CC and WC Drama Information - 5/28/2008
If you missed the drama meeting a couple of weeks ago, there are copies of the information in the office on the counter. Both plays have large casts. If you have always "thought about" being in a show, next year might be the year to "try out" for one or both! Be sure to pick up a sheet before summer vacation.
Athletics - 5/28/2008
Our Boys Golf Team advanced to the State Finals at Ypsilanti with a 2nd place finish in the Regional Tournament last Friday. Tyler Godfrey shot a 72 at the tough Cedar Chase course to win Medalist Honors for the lowest score of the day among all schools. Congratulations to Tyler and the Team!
In the State Final Track and Field Meet on Saturday the following Cougars earned All-State Honors with their performance: Mandy Hollern (100m), Jason Harvey (Shotput), Austin DeWildt (Pole Vault), and Dan Quinn (200m). Congratulations to all.
Softball advanced to the District Championship game on Saturday but came up short in a close game with Christian. Congratulations to the team for a good season.
All girls interested in fall golf please attend at informational meeting on Monday June 2 at 3:10 P.M. in the cafeteria.
Ashleigh Jones has been selected to play in the Champions of Character All-Star Basketball game at Cornerstone University Fieldhouse on Thursday, June 19 at 5:30pm.
Volleyball players: Anyone planning to tryout for JV or Varsity Volleyball in the Fall must meet with Coach Abram on Monday, June 2, 3:00pm in the gym to discuss summer activity and tryouts.

Student Employment Opportunity
The Development Office of the Catholic Secondary Schools is looking for dependable, outgoing students to contact donors, alumni and friends of Catholic Central HS via telephone to:
· Thank them for their past or ongoing support of the high school(s).
· Educate them about the Annual Fund or a special project and request a predetermined gift to the school. (The gifts raised for the Annual Fund go to scholarships for hundreds of families who require financial assistance. Over 25% of our student body requires support of some amount). Other responsibilities include updating address, spousal, and employment records of alumni and representing your school in answering questions that donors and alumni may have.
· Paid training
· Summer hours available
Qualifications:
Junior or senior student status for 2008-09 school year. Students must exhibit enthusiasm in support of education at Catholic Central and demonstrate genuine warmth in contact with others. They must also possess strong oral communication skills, organizational ability, and attentiveness to details. Students must possess strong character and a positive attitude and have the ability to work well with and motivate others. They must be comfortable soliciting gifts (via telephone) from alumni. Hours available evenings throughout the school year.
