The Catholic Leadership Institute runs from July 9- July 21 and the cost, including room, board, tuition, books and fees is $895. In this program, students will: Live the works of charity by helping out at soup kitchens, homes for the needy, and other organizations in the local community; Read the Catholic Church’s Social Teaching on the human person, the family, work, and politics; Listen to Catholic leaders speak about their personal experiences of living their Faith in their careers.
The Great Books Program runs from July 9- July 21 and the cost, including room, board, tuition, books and fees is $895. In this program, students will: Immerse themselves in the wisdom of the greatest thinkers of the West!
SPEND THE SUMMER WITH ALMA COLLEGE! The Alma College High School Leadership Academy is a great opportunity for students to explore their own leadership skills and important public issues. The 2012 Academy will be held July 8-14 and is available to students who have completed their junior year of high school. UNIVERSITY OF DETROIT MERCY SUMMER READING PROGRAM
For: 9-11 graders
Schedule: 5 Mondays, July 23-August 20 from 4:00-6:30 p.m. (12.5 hours total-students are expected to do 45 min to 1 hour of homework 4 days a week)

SUMMER 2012 LAKER WRITERS CAMPS
What is Laker Writers Camp? Offered by Grand Valley State University, the Laker Writing Camps are for students who are interested in writing. The teachers will inspire creative thinking and writing while exploring various writing styles and methods of self-expression. The cost of the camp is $100 (need-based scholarships are available).
