Catholic Central Class of 1960 Celebrates 50 Years and Gives Back to the School

The fact that Catholic Central Cougar pride continues for years after graduation was made evident by the class of 1960 when they celebrated their 50th reunion this summer.

Walking into the reunion, everyone was warmly welcomed by former classmates, checked-in and given a name tag. From there, it was easy to find friendly faces and begin to catch up and reminisce. A few weeks before the reunion, Catholic Central was contacted to help determine where a financial gift from the class would best be suited. The school’s technology needs seemed to be a good fit for the class of 1960. The class had a wonderful time dancing, chatting, enjoying dinner and raising $300 to give back to their alma mater. The $300 gift will be used in the technology upgrade going on at the school, which includes creating a wireless campus and purchasing and installing smart boards and projectors. This technology upgrade gives some ease to the teachers in their duties and allows students to learn in state-of-the-art ways. Many of the alumni present had children of their own attending Catholic Central, and a few noted that they were looking forward to having their grandchildren attend their school! On behalf of the school teachers, staff, administration and students, we want to thank the Class of 1960 for their generous gift and congratulate them on their 50 years of Cougar Pride!
